Major Jeffrey Camlin, USA, Ret., M.A.: Understand the World. Jeff Camlin is a retired Army Infantryman and Paratrooper who served 29 years in the United States Army. The Greek Lambda in the tab of this blog is a reference to the Spartan warrior philosophy and spirit. He earned a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a M.A. in Philosophy (Christian Wisdom) from Holy Apostles College and Seminary. The purpose of this blog is Public Philosophy, and complements my philosophy workshops locally. I enjoy finding things missing on Google, then write an article on it either here, at philpapers.org, (or both). I do this as my retirement leisure activity and am not paid by anyone or any organization. As a trained philosopher in the Thomistic tradition, my philosophy is grounded in Aristotle and Saint Thomas Aquinas. My aim is to provide a perspective and (hopefully) satisfy questions on existence, (God, whose essence is existence), and the existence of things. I hope my work helps provoke thought and answer questions to those who wish to know God and existence better, (in whatever form of belief, agnostics or atheist). As of 2024, I have started using ChatGPT and Scite AI indirectly and aid in research.
